God offers the early churches this vision to encourage them to press on in the midst of the tremendous cultural pressures.  Similarly, being a faithful Christian is becoming increasingly difficult today as the world embraces more and more practices that run counter to God’s Word.  This God-given vision now offers us the courage to "press on."

As part of our 2022 Advent series, I preached on the Wise Men and their desire to discover the truth about the newborn King.  We likewise need to seek truth, especially in a culture that is so confused, even wondering if truth exists.

Recently I had the honor of celebrating the life of my friend Gayle.  And more importantly, to lead our church to celebrate the Resurrection.  One day all who trust in Christ will hear His voice, rise from the dead, and be with Him and the Church for all eternity.  It's this promise that offers us hope, even in the midst of death.

Steve was a long-time member and leader in our church.  After entering hospice, he came to worship at Bay Presbyterian Church one last time.  I had the honor of leading our church in prayer for him.  Listen for Steve's powerful response at the end of the prayer.
